My friend Sarah & I were sitting at Panera working not too long ago when I decided to check YouTube. I was surprised by a bunch of views & comments that I didn’t understand on my 2018 Dreidel video. At the time of writing this post, it’s up to over 70,000 views!

It looks like the YouTube algorithm (which I still don’t totally get), connected it with a video game where the character (Shaggy from Scooby-Doo) sounds like he’s saying “dreidel” & the autoplay feature really helped me out! Crazy, right?
I don’t have a secret formula to give you, other than keep on keeping on if you’re working on growing an audience. You never know what might catch on! I’m not to the point of monetizing my channel or anything yet, but it was such a cool, unexpected surprise to get all those views & comments. My channel has gained subscribers too!
I added a short video of the Scooby-Doo theme (probably not entirely related, but oh well) & these three versions of some music from the FnF Shaggy mod – 1, 2, 3.
Viewers have been awesome to comment on the video, & I’ve posted several more covers from the FnF video games because of their comments. I haven’t played the video game & am not familiar with it other than the little I’ve picked up from this exciting experience. But, it looks like I might be posting some more video game music in the future! Do you have any requests?
Who would have thought that that video from 2018 would have blown up like that? (Especially a Hanukkah video in June…) Pretty cool, eh?
Oh, & don’t forget to subscribe to my YouTube channel!
