Post-Performance Thank You Notes

After recitals (I haven’t scheduled any studio recital for awhile….let me know if you’d like to read more about that), I would try to have my students (and myself) sign a thank you note to give to the facility where we perform. It’s a nice way to show appreciation for not only a place to perform, but also an appreciative audience. At least one of our thank you notes was hung on the Activity Director’s door! It’s also a great way to remind them that you’re interested in returning.

I liked to use handmade cards, but store-bought is just fine as well. Some students write notes and some simply write their names (usually the adult students write the notes and the kids just write their names). My youngest student at the time even “signed” a thank you note (she’s not quite three yet), which I find adorable.

My mom made the card above; I think it was for this recital. Do you send thank you notes after performances? Let me know on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, or in the comments below!
