Looking for a quick way to snazzy up a plain black purse? Add a touch of piano keyboard flair to an upcycled bag with just a few supplies.
SUPPLIES (the colors can be changed to your preference):
black purse (I had mine. You might try a thrift store or raiding a friend’s closet [with permission of course!])
gold cord
black thread
needle
scissors
straight pins

Trim cord to the the approximate length you want your “black” keys & lay them out where you want them.
Pin them in place.
Stitch each “key” where you want it.

Stitch each “key” where you want it.
With the hand stitching, it’s probably pretty easy to take the decoration off if you want to change it up later.
I left the ends raw, but you could try folding the under, sealing them with glue before you sew them down, or using a different type of cord.

What colors would you make yours? If you try this, will you show me on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, or in the comments below? Pretty please?
