Unlike last time, I got the whole video on my camera too, so it isn’t backwards. 🙂
This would be a great summertime outdoor activity, & a project for staying home!
Materials (some of these you can substitute or omit)
If you don’t have all the materials, see what you have around the house that you can substitute!
- white acrylic paint
- water
- paint dish (of some sort…can be an old cup)
- old toothbrush
- stencil (we used the outline from a seal cutout)
- dark paper
- painter’s tape
- markers/paint pens
- google eyes
- school glue
- cardboard box (optional)
Instructions
Make sure you are doing this project in clothes that can get messed up, in an area where you can be messy worry-free.
- Use painter’s tape (or the hack we talk about in the video) to secure the stencil to your paper.
- Prepare the paint by mixing a little water with a little paint. You can test it out to see how “splatterable” it is.
- Dip your (painting) toothbrush in the paint & “flick” it (see the video for demonstration) onto the paper. Repeat until you’re happy with the paint coverage.
- Allow to dry.
- Optional: if the paper is warped, you can leave it under a heavy book or other item over night to help it flatten out. Do this after the paint is fully dry.
- Carefully remove the stencil & tape.
- Add details as you wish!
