Supplies:
compact
powdered makeup
rubbing alcohol
drinking glass (or something with a surface similar to the bottom)
coffee filter (or something similar)
stirring utensil
harp stamp
I don’t remember exactly how I did this (some of these pictures might even be from a prior attempt), but I’ll outline the steps how I think I made this below. 🙂
You can also watch this video by Kandee Johnson for a more detailed step-by-step of repressing the powder.
Break up your powder and mix in some rubbing alcohol.
Dump it in the clean compact and spread it around.
Cover the makeup to be pressed with a coffee filter or something similar. Then press down with a glass, cup, spoon, etc. If you use a glass, be careful not to break it!
It should look something like this.
Place your stamp and press down.
Remove the stamp. I don’t remember if I removed the coffee filter before or after it dried!
Enjoy your harp-stamped pressed powder! Is this something you’d like to see a more detailed tutorial for?
Show me your upcycled compacts on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, or in the comments!
