Yep, I designed some music-themed material!

I enjoy DIYing, & the mask demand during COVID really seemed (seamed? get it? I know, I’m hilarious.) to get me back into sewing (speaking of masks, check out this wind mask pattern & this wind mask pattern).
Spoonflower allows you to design your own fabric & make it available for sale, so I thought I’d give it a go.
I’ve only made this one purchase (so far), but they blew me away! Whether you purchase my designs or not, I recommend you try them out if you’re on the hunt for some new fabric! I’m usually a use-what-you-have, upcycle, or buy-in-person type of gal (in part because I’m cheap thrifty), but this experience has made me quite a fan of Spoonflower, largely because of the outstanding customer service experience I’ve had (I’ve been so impressed) & that their material is printed in the US or Germany. It’s also really cool that since they print on demand, there’s likely less waste.
Another fun pastime: window shopping on Spoonflower!
I wanted to make some music-themed fabric that wasn’t your average music design. It seems like a lot of the material out there related to music is a bit on the expected side, & I wanted to make some designs that are cute, quirky, & unexpected.
I’d like to add a variety of more music designs — including subtly music designs that you might not get if you aren’t a musician, like this conducting pattern design — in the future.
Stay tuned for some tutorials & maybe project inspo to make with these fabric designs.
Right now, there are 6 designs available, but keep an eyeball out for more. What kind of music-related fabric designs would you be interested in purchasing? Let me know in the comments or send me a message!

P.S. The designs are also available as wallpaper!
