I am so excited about this project! SO. EXCITED.
Here’s a fun upcycle idea for t-shirts. I think this would be neat to do at a harp or music camp or as an easy diy gift. If you don’t have an old t-shirt and some optional lace laying around, you could likely pick them up at your local thrift store or even dollar store. Potentially economical and eco-friendly.
Step 1: (Optional) Cut off the neckline and bottom seams of the sleeves and shirt.
Step 2: Turn your t-shirt inside out and trace this pattern (or your own!) onto the back of your shirt with chalk (make sure to reverse it!).
Step 3: Cut lines parallel to the “column” of your harp shape. Stretch them out a little when you’re done.
Step 4: (Optional) Sew a cute little lace pocket on the front.
Bonus project: Make a dog or cat toy by braiding, knotting, etc. part you cut off. Just make sure your pet doesn’t eat it, get tangled in it, or anything! Isn’t this just so fun? Be sure to let me know if you try this! Tag me on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, or leave a picture in the comments below!

P.S. To get the look of the first picture, just layer the shirt over a dress or another shirt…I recommend that anyway. 🙂
