How cute are these little felt animal hair accessories? Taking inspiration from these, I thought it might be cute to make a mini felt harp ponytail holder! After working on drafting out this project, I realized it’s similar to the catnip harp toy!

Step 1:
Cut out 2 harp shapes from your felt. You can freehand it, or use a scaled down version of the pattern from the DIY Harp String Art.
Step 2:
Taking whichever piece you want to be your top piece, lay out the strings you want to use, cutting them just a little longer than you want them to show.
Step 3:
Make a small hole in the felt where you want the top of the string (like this project) & slide the string through. Do the same for the bottom of the string. Repeat for all the strings.
Step 4:
This step is optional, but I think it will help the durability of your project. Turn over the harp so that the back is on top. Add a little glue with the kabob stick to help keep the strings in place. Let dry.
Step 5:
Place the two pieces of felt together, wrong sides facing. Stitch around the perimeter, leaving a space. Stuff it with filling, then finish stitching the harp together.
Step 6:
If parts of the strings are hanging out, trim those with wire cutters.
Step 7:
Sew the harp onto the ponytail holder.
Enjoy wearing or gifting this to a young harpist!
