Friendship bracelets have exploded in popularity, and they’re fun to make! They can also be super easy. In this post, I’m sharing a way you can make them music-related too.

I chose some well-known composers that a student has learned arrangements of their pieces (Brahms, Haydn, Mozart, & Tchaikovsky). The student reviewed the pieces for homework. She also researched the birth and death dates of the applicable composer. Once she completed the pieces (again), she got a bracelet with the composer name.
Supplies
- letter beads (I got them on eBay, but I love that The Beadery produces made in the USA alphabet beads)
- elastic cord
- other beads of your choice
How to
All you do is thread your beads on and tie. There is more than one way to tie the slick stretchy cord, but I’m pretty sure I did something similar to a surgeon’s knot or butcher’s knot (twice…let me know if you’d like a video). You can also use some super glue to reinforce the knot even more, but I don’t think it’s necessary.
If you’re making these bracelets for a child, a size guide can helpful. You can just do an internet search for “children’s bracelet size guide.”
Which composers’ names would you include on bracelets? If you try this fun craft, I would love to hear about it!
