Delight your students with this versatile musical symbol matching game! This makes a great take-home game, off the bench activity, or music party game.
Students might not even know they’re improving their musical knowledge!
Ideas for using this packet
- Color the bunnies & tails in the same color, then cut them out & laminate.
- Add magnets to the back of each piece & make this a refrigerator game for young children.
- The tail & bunny in a matching color will help the younger student match them & get used to the correlation of symbol & term.
- Instead of the refrigerator, use a cookie sheet, magnetic board, or metal lunch box.
- Color the bunnies, but leave the tails white. Cut out & laminate the pieces.
- Add hook & loop closure so the student can match the pieces.
- Optional: add the answer to the back of the tail for self-checking.
- Send the printed sheets home with students to color, cut out, & match for homework.
- Student can cut out each piece, then glue matching tails onto the correct rabbits. All the rabbits can be glued to a clean sheet of paper.
- Attach the tails to a die with hook & loop closure. Players race to see who can match the correct bunny, then attach the tail to the matching bunny. Whoever has the most bunnies at the end of the game wins.
- This can be done with tails colored to match or not.
