This DIY is so short! It’s a smidge tricky to get the pieces clamped together right, but if you have an extra set of hands (with a body attached….lolz) to help you, it should be easier.

Supplies
- 2 bridges of roughly the same size
- small piece of wood cut & sanded to the size you want
- wood glue
- 2 clamps
Pretty sure the bridges I used were cello bridges (be sure to check out my “Finds” highlight on Instagram to see discarded music stuff I collect!).
How To
- Cut & sand your wood to the desired size (scrap is great!).
- Add some glue to the inside of each foot on one bridge. Make sure the glue is in about the same place on each side.
- Add glue to the other bridge by pressing the insides together & then taking them apart (this part will probably make more sense on the IGTV video).
- Put the pieces together to resemble a napkin or letter holder & clamp.
- Once it’s dried, unclamp it & enjoy your functional, upcycled, musical decor!
This would be such a fun gift for a strings teacher or conductor. If you make one, please be sure to tag me on Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook!
Who would you like to give one of these to? Let me know in the comments!
